Q: What is the best part about being back on the gridiron with everything going on right now?

A: It’s honestly a blessing that we’re able to play the sport that we live for and I’m grateful for a season. Just being able to play the sport that I trained and played my whole life is also a prayer that’s been answered.

Q: What are your personal and team goals for the season?

A: My personal goal is to go to the all-star game and show other players what I’m about. As a team, we want to win district and win another playoff game.

Q: How do you prep for the Friday night lights, what are your pregame rituals?

A: My pregame routine to get focused is by focusing on my family. I hustle every day for my family they motivate me to do better and I give all I have on the field for them.

#44 Angel Vera, RB/DB
#5 Chris Gamboa, QB
#99 Esteban Pena, TE/DL

Esteban Pena, will be a breakout player this season read what he has to say about the upcoming season.

Q: What is the best part about being back on the gridiron with everything going on right now?

A: The best part about playing football during this pandemic is that my team and I can finally do something we all enjoy. Staying home all day and just doing school work is tiring for each and every one of us, so finally being able to practice and play games gives me so much to look for in this upcoming season.

Q: What are your personal and team goals for the season?

A: My personal goal is to break the 100 tackle mark this season, I almost had it last season but I got injured before the playoffs, so I plan to break it this year. As a team goal, I would love for us to be District Champions and Bi-District Champions.

Q: How do you prep for the Friday night lights, what are your pregame rituals?

A: Before every game, the team usually watches film on the opposing team to break down little things that may come our way, like little trick plays or different calls they might have. Right before we kick-off, we have our team prayer in the locker room to get everyone focused and hyped for the game.
