Get to Know Allen Star, Louisville Signee Nyah Green

The Old Coach’s Arath Brito sat down with Louisville commit Nyah Green following her senior season at Allen.

Green is a 6’1 5-star guard at Allen and is nationally ranked as the 12th-overall player, fifth guard, and second in Texas. Her achievements include being selected for the Jordan Brand Classic and McDonald’s All-American Game.

Green committed to Louisville in 8th Grade and she has stuck by that commitment through high school. During her senior season at Allen, Green led the Eagles to the state semifinals.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : How did it feel when you found out you had been selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American Game?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : It felt amazing, something that I’ve always wanted ever since I was little. It was awesome feeling that my hard work is paying off.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : Who were some of your favorite players you got to play with at the All-American game?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : Kierston Bell, Haley Jones, and Rickea Jackson.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : Why were they your favorite to play with?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : They are very dynamic and versatile.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : What would you say was your favorite thing about the whole experience?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : Just playing with and against the best of the best, was a Great experience.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : What would you grade your All-American game performance?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : four (on a scale of ten), nowhere close to what i can really do.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : What are your goals not just as a player but as a team with Louisville?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : My goal as a player is to become a complete player and be the dominant force i know i am and as a team i want to help Louisville win a National Championship.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : Who’s helped you the most in your journey to becoming a McDonald’s All-American Game?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : My dad has definitely been there for me since day 1 and he’s definitely has helped me the most and been the most influential.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : What made you choose Louisville over all the other schools that recruited you?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : Coaching staff as well as the atmosphere and the fan base. It just felt like home.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : When did you start playing basketball?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : 3 years old.

Arath Brito (@ogunotres) : Who’s your favorite basketball player and why?

Nyah Green (@nyahgreen3117) : Lebron James because he can do everything which is what i can do.
