First of all, congrats on the #1 Tight End ranking. I want to know your very first memory playing football as a kid.

My first memory of playing football would have to be playing RB for the La Marque Cougars little league team. Playing Peewee when I was like 8 and winning the Superbowl.
Who’s the most influential person in your life right now that keeps you level-headed?
The most influential person would have to be my dad. He always reminds me of the grind and if I’m making a mistake and how to correct it.
What are your game day rituals?
I guess just putting my ear bud’s in and zoning out to my music. I visualize making plays during the game.
If you wasn’t playing football, what could you see yourself doing?
I would be dominating the hard wood. If I focused on basketball only it would be a wrap.
I noticed that you play basketball as well. What traits do you carry from the court to the field? Or Vice versa.
I bring over a lot of the foot work aspect over to the field also the post up that’s how I out jump players for jump balls.
Watching your film, I see that you have so much diversity to your game. Explain how you’re such a nightmare for opposing LB’s & DB’s.
I just try to put a lot of pressure on the defense. They have to respect me. If they don’t, I’ll make them pay. If they double me, someone else will eat.
In what ways have your coaches played an important role in your life?
My head coach puts a lot on my plate because he sees a lot in me and I step up for our team. As a sophomore last year, I was vocal when we needed it because I wanted to help us win.
Is there any player you model your game after? If so, who & why?
I don’t really model my game off other players, I just try to beat the defense by catching or blocking. But if my game looks like another TE it would have to be Mark Andrews.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced the past few months due to Covid-19?
So my workouts haven’t been what I’m used to because of COVID. My mom hasn’t let me train with my trainers like I usually would so. I only workout at home. I did get to do some strength and conditioning with the team a little bit.
What are your goals after football?
I want to be a Engineer unless I don’t start up my own shoe company or get into shoe design.
In your own words, define success.
Success to me is achieving my goals i set for my life. Getting a college education and owning my own home and car. Not being dependent on my parents.
