How to Enable and Disable Avast Game Mode

Avast game mode is an option that optimizes the configuration of your computer for use while playing games. It turns off notifications and pauses updates to allow you to focus on the game, and it adjusts PC settings to prioritize gaming over other programs that could consume the CPU and reduce performance.

When you play, you need plenty of resources like CPU, GPU, RAM MEMORY, and more. Other applications and recording processes could take these methods away from your game, causing the application to slow down or even to crash. Avast game mode lets you to concentrate solely on your video games by temporarily disabling background processes and advising you of possible interruptions.

It also minimizes the impact of antivirus scans and updates on your gaming performance by notifying you when you are playing an online game and then suspending the game to avoid interruptions. This can be a major benefit for gamers who do not want to have to pause their gaming to perform regular maintenance or risk becoming infected with viruses while trying to play.

Start the antivirus program and then click the menu in the upper-right corner of the Windows taskbar. Select “Settings”, and then switch it on. Enable Game Mode on. If Game Mode is enabled, a distinct icon will appear in your tray of the system to indicate that Game Mode is active.

You can also access an individual page in the Avast software to add specific programs to the list and automatically switch them into Game Mode whenever you play them. You might want to deactivate the gaming mode of Avast for a variety of reasons. This article will teach you how to do this from the Avast GUI.
