Q: What is the best part about being back on the gridiron with everything going on right now?
A: It gives me a sense of normalcy, that slowly everything is getting back on its feet. It feels like a blessing just to be back playing.
Q: What are your personal and team goals for the season?
A: My team goal is to win our district as well as the bi-district. My personal goal is to be apart of the All-City and All-District teams and receive one division 1 football offer.
Q: How do you prep for the Friday night lights, what are your pregame rituals?
A: My pregame ritual is to sit out in the field on my own before anyone gets out there, to pray, and meditate. I try to get my body in tune with my mind, soul, and spirit.

Rudy Tellez is looking to be a workhorse for the Troopers this season, we got a chance to catch up with him to get his take on the upcoming season.
Q: What is the best part about being back on the gridiron with everything going on right now?
A: For me, it gives me a chance to take a break from the problems happening right now. I get the chance to be able to play the game I love with my teammates that I call my brothers.
Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
A: My personal favorite would have to be Walter Payton. I grew up watching him in videos and my dad well me stories about him. He was inspirational and worked hard to become the greatest.
Q: How do you prep for the Friday night lights, what are your pregame rituals?
A: Simply sit in my locker and listen to my music. It helps me focus and get ready for what’s going to happen in the game.
