Q: What is the best part about being back on the gridiron with everything going on right now?

A: The best part is being able to get away from the real world and getting to do something that I love and have done my whole life. This is a great feeling during a time where nothing is normal, it’s good to get that normal feeling again.

Q: What are your personal and team goals for the season?

A: My personal goal is to just have a breakthrough season and do the best I can. My team goal is for us to go further than we ever have in the playoffs and to build more of a foundation for the upcoming classes.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?

A: My favorite professional athlete is Cole Beasley, I like him because despite his height, and weight and all the odds against him, he gets the job done.

#70 Angel Gonzalez, OL/DL 6’2″, 260Ibs.

Angel Gonzalez is going to anchor the offensive and defensive lines this season, here is what he had to say about the upcoming season.

Q: What is the best part about being back on the gridiron with everything going on right now?

A: It feels good to get back at it, we always go through some type of adversity which has made us really mentally strong, and this pandemic is no different, we’re just making the best of it and having fun with our teammates.

Q: What are your personal and team goals for the season?

A: My personal goal is to be All-District and All city for offense and defense as well as help lead my team to a district title. My team goal would be for us to have a deep run in the playoffs, which I think we could accomplish.

Q: How do you prep for the Friday night lights, what are your pregame rituals?

A: I try to watch film as much as possible throughout the day and listen to my music while I’m watching it, this just gets me a little hyped for the game.
