Deuce Harmon, a 4-star CB out of Denton Guyer, recently narrowed his recruitment down to TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Oregon, SMU, and USC.
Our own Arath Brito got a chance to ask him a few questions pertaining to his recruitment, goals, and staying fit in quarantine.
Q: Why did Baylor, Mississippi State, and Texas Tech not make your Final Seven Schools?
A: Well they did a great job recruiting me, I just didn’t have that whole staff connection like I had with the other schools
Q: Other then the staff connections with your final seven schools what other things did they bring to the table ?
A: Out of all the schools in my top 7 I’ve only visited 3 of them (Texas A&M, SMU, TCU) so the things that they brought to the table is the campus and the location it’s in. All three are close to home and they make me feel like I am the number 1 person they are looking for. The other 4 schools (Oregon, Notre Dame, USC, Texas) I haven’t taken a visit there yet, but the are doing a great job as keeping me in touch with the whole staff including the head coach. When I talk to the head coach it makes me feel like I am the number 1 priority for them.
Q: What could your final seven schools do to increase your interest in that particular school/schools ?
A: All of them gotta keep doing what they’re doing, there’s nothing more that I can ask for. Now I just want to visit all the schools and see which campus feels like home .
Q: Now looking forward to your senior season, what are some of your goals you have for yourself and what are some goals you have for your team?
A: I’m going to show everyone who I am, what I can really do on both sides of the ball. Doing that I will be able to achieve any goal I want. For a team goal I wanna go back to state and win it all.
Q: With quarantine going on right now because of Covid-19 how are you practicing social distancing and how are you staying in shape?
A: Well I got all the resources around me in my home. I have a vertimax to keep my explosiveness and I use a Max Trainer to keep up my endurance. I still train with my trainers though, so this pandemic isn’t really keeping me from what I have to get done to be the best.
