Cy-Fair Leaves Waco Midway in the Dust for 6A D2 Title

All Bobcats. All night.

On the evening of December 23rd at AT&T Stadium, Cy-Fair made the UIL State finale look not-so-fair.

After leaping out in front of the previously undefeated Waco Midway Panthers (15-1) in the 6A Division II Final, the Cy-Fair Bobcats (15-0) would not look back.

A 27-7 Bobcat lead at halftime left the Panthers in catch-up mode until the clock hit zero, capping off a 51-35 rout in the first championship win in Cy-Fair HC Ed Pustejovsky’s 37 years on the job.

Offensive MVP Trenton Kennedy’s3 TDs and 106 yards on the ground carried Cy-Fair to the first football state title in Cypress-Fairbanks High School’s 77-year history.

The Old Coach’s Nick Walters captured each play from above and shared every highlight as they happened.

Follow the key moments in Cy-Fair’s dominant performance versus Waco Midway.
